"Wardrobe boxes and dish barrels were in the quote rather than sold to me as extras on the day. They hung both closets straight into the boxes on arrival and every plate came out of the barrel whole at the other end."

The same four answers in every market we serve.
One Standard, Every Location
Every Milestone crew works to the same written standard, the same pricing practice, and the same packing checklist. The town changes; the move does not.
Your Price, in Writing, Before Move Day
We survey what you actually own, then put the number in writing. No move-day surcharges, no renegotiating at the back of the truck once your things are loaded.
A Vetted Crew, Not Day Labor
Background-checked movers on our own payroll, insured, and the same crew that loads your home is the crew that delivers it.
One Coordinator, Start to Finish
A name and a direct number from the first box to the last, so you are never explaining your move again to whoever answers the phone.
The Milestone Way
The standard every Milestone team is held to, on every job, in every town.
Measured quotes
a binding written number after a real survey of your home; it does not change on move day
On-time windows
we give you a pickup and delivery window, we hit it, and we call ahead either way
Vetted crews
background-checked movers on our own payroll, trained at our headquarters - never day labor
Everything protected
blankets, runners, jamb guards, full-value protection, and a claims desk that answers on the first call
Our Promise, In Writing
The Keystone Standard delivered by Milestone, a proud Keystone company.
90-Day Written Promise“Every Milestone move carries the written Move-Right Guarantee. The quote is binding: once we have surveyed your home - in person or on video - the number cannot rise, not on the ramp, not at the scale, not at delivery. The windows are honored: we give you a pickup window and a delivery window, and if anything shifts you hear it from us before it happens. Everything we pack rides under full-value protection, and for 90 days after delivery, if anything we moved or packed isn't right, one phone call brings a Milestone crew or a Milestone check - not a runaround, not a subcontractor, not a claim form that disappears. No hostage loads. No surprise fees. Our name is on the truck, so the move is on us.”
Read the full promise →How a Careful Move Differs From a Cheap One
Almost every damage claim on a move traces back to what the crew did in the first ten minutes. Here is how we pack and protect a home, and what the cheaper quote quietly leaves out.
Moving Blankets and Shrink Wrap
Almost every scratch on a moving day happens between the room and the truck. What the furniture is wrapped in before it moves is the whole defense.
We wrap in heavy quilted moving pads with a woven outer skin, then shrink wrap over the pad so it stays put through the carry. The pad takes the corner hit and the wrap keeps drawers and doors from swinging open on the stairs.
The cheap version is a thin non-woven pad, or a bedsheet taped straight onto the finish. Tape on bare wood lifts the lacquer when it comes off, and a pad that thin does nothing at all against a door frame.
Dish Barrels and Double-Wall Boxes
Kitchens are where breakage happens, because plates get packed in whatever box is left over. The board the box is made from decides whether the stack survives being stacked.
We pack china and glass into double-wall dish barrels with cell dividers and paper on every piece. The extra wall holds its shape under four boxes of weight and the dividers stop plate meeting plate.
Thin single-wall boxes from the hardware aisle are rated for a fraction of that load. They bow in the middle, the stack leans, and the bottom box in the tier is the one that gets crushed on the truck.
Wardrobe Boxes
Hanging clothes are the slowest thing in any house to pack and the easiest thing to ruin, because a folded suit arrives creased and a packed-down closet arrives wrinkled.
We bring tall wardrobe boxes with a steel hanging bar and pack the closet straight off the rod on the day. The clothes travel hanging, come off the bar into the new closet, and nobody folds anything.
The budget approach is to fold everything into cartons or leave it in trash bags. It saves half an hour on the truck and costs a weekend of ironing at the other end, and bags tear on the first stair.
Dollies and Ratchet Straps
What the weight rides on is what keeps it off your walls and off the crew. It is also the difference between a load that stays put and one that shifts on the first turn.
We carry four-wheel furniture dollies, a stair-climbing appliance dolly with a belt, and ratchet straps rated well past the load, so every tier in the truck is tied to the rail before the next one goes in.
A borrowed hand truck and a length of rope is the common shortcut. Nothing is tied off, the load leans into the door on the first corner, and the crew carries by hand what should have been rolled.
Floor Runners and Door Jamb Protectors
The damage a homeowner actually notices after a move is rarely on the furniture. It is the scuff on the hallway floor and the dent in the door frame the sofa came through.
We lay non-slip ribbed runners along the whole carry path and clip padded protectors onto every door jamb and stair rail before anything moves, at both houses, every time.
Bare floors and bare jambs are the norm on a cheap job, with maybe a flattened box by the front door. Grit tracks in under the boots, the runner that is not there is not protecting anything, and the frame takes the corner of the dresser.
Doing It This Way Since 2006.
The Keystone family had an answer for almost everything a house could need - the garage door, the roof, the locks, the whole remodel. Then came the calls no Keystone company could take: "You fixed this house for ten years. Now we're leaving it. Who do we trust with everything inside?" Milestone Moving was founded in Hollywood, Florida in 2006 to be that answer - born on the I-95 corridor, where every season carries thousands of families north and south, and where the moving horror story is practically a local genre: the phone quote that doubled on the truck ramp, the loaded truck that wouldn't unload until the price went up, the three strangers who showed up from a text message. Milestone was built as the opposite of that story. A real survey of your home - in person or on video - and then a binding written number that cannot move, no matter what the scale says. Crews on our own payroll, background-checked, in uniform, trained at our Hollywood headquarters. Trucks we own, garaged in the metros we serve, from Miami to Seattle. And a promise that doesn't end at the curb: pickup and delivery windows we honor or you hear from us first, full-value protection on everything we pack, and a claims desk staffed by people with names. The Keystone companies take care of the house. Milestone carries the home - every box, every mile, from the first milestone to the last.
Milestones were the stones set along the old post roads - one every mile - so a traveler always knew how far they had come and how far was left to go. The Keystone family runs on stones: the keystone locks the arch, the groundwork holds it up, the hearthstone warms it. The milestone is the family's traveling stone - the marker for the day life changes address. A first apartment, a bigger house, a new city: every one is a milestone, and Milestone is the company the family sends along for the road.
